What is a Bullet Journal? A Bullet Journal is like a diary, a scrapbook a note book and a journal all in one!
Why The Get Trial Ready Bullet Journal? Because I'm a dog trainer myself, I know that you need some structure and shortcuts for your training notes and drawing up the boxes for each page is just too much work when you want to get straight into training! So I created a hybrid training journal/bullet journal to get the best of both world!
You need to be able to make your notes in a timely manner, so I've made sure you've got all the things competition trainers need shortcuts for, but leaving you plenty of room for being creative as well.
Every left hand side will have your traditional "bullets" or dots for notes, drawings (e.g. your track layout or agility course or even drawing your heelwork pattern or even your scent work layout! You can use it for drawing diagrams or writing notes (this is YOUR journal) and on the right side, there's spaces for all the notes you need about your training environment and making notes about your training session.
At the start of your Journal, you'll find some pages to help you note and track your goals. These pages are there to help you focus on the tasks you're actually working on, so you don't get easily side tracked during a training session!
I've also created Trial Notes at the back of the journal, so you can compare your trials and see patterns that you can quickly and easily adjust for next time!
This journal is designed to help you be more successful! And the more you use it, the more success you'll have!
I asked a friend to try the Journal and give me some feedback, and here's what she has to say:
"Luzelle asked me to trail her training journal for her, I didn't think I'd find a use or need for it as I just tend to roll from one exercise to another. I tried the Journal & I absolutely LOVE it, I use the metrics to see exactly where we're improving or not. I can also see the exercises that I prefer & the ones I shy away from, even though I think I'm not. Goals are easier to set, the journal helps me note down the distractions there & then which is great for myself as I forget everything! I can also plan ahead with my training, see the criteria I set & when to raise or lower it. I honestly didn't think I would love it like I do but I do! Well done Luzelle on a simple, easy to use training journal." - Jo Foster & Kelo
I hope you love the Journal as much as Jo does! I haven't competed in a while, but this is the journal I've used to get my dogs trial ready and to win!
